Both of my children absolutely love attending the karate classes at Saikyou Karate Club. Sensei Rowland and Sensei Illona are fantastic instructors who not only teach karate skills but also instil important values like discipline, respect, and perseverance. I appreciate the regular updates from the Senseis on my children's progress. They've even encouraged them to participate in national-level and championship competitions, which has helped boost their confidence and skills. I highly recommend this karate club to anyone looking for a fun and enriching activity for their kids.

My little girl has just joined and is absolutely loving it! She is very shy normally but the club and instructors are so welcoming and quietly encouraging that she has come out of her shell straight away! I looked really carefully at the available clubs around Witham and this one stood out because of the level of experience the instructors have and because of the ethos towards the karate discipline. I have been training in this karate club over the last 2 years…I joined in initially for fitness purpose as I fed up with gym activities. For those who don’t know karate (like I did), it’s not just a sport, it’s much more. When I tell people that I do karate, first impression you would expect is “She’s dangerous…she’s aggressive”. I can ensure you karate is not all these… in class you will be taught how to perform properly each technique ( right form), how to improve your techniques, how to control them so you are the master of the techniques ( you can decide to harm you opponent or not -depends on situations obviously). I have really learnt a lot under the guidance of sensei Ilona and sensei Rowland.

I have trained in Karate elsewhere but had not been for sometime having moved. Was not sure what to expect with this dojo, as anyone who has practiced karate know not all clubs are good. so glad I went along, The instructors are excellent and explain everything nice and simple and clearly to everyone, whilst making sure they maintain the traditions of karate. This dojo caters for all ages and anyone thinking of starting or going back to karate will find this an excellent dojo.
