Whenever I have cause to make an appointment at the Surgery, I find the reception staff extremely pleasant and helpful and efficient....same with the Nurses and Doctors. My Husband and I feel very fortunate to be registered with such a good Surgery. Thanks to all the Staff.

Impossible to get an appointment. Cannot see a Dr only offer phone appointments but if you walk up there, surgery is empty and receptionist sitting around doing nothing!
Dr Olatunde should be struck off. Widely known around Witham healthcare circles as having no bedside manner, being rude and not giving a damn about his patients. His lack of care is borderline negligent!

Generally been very impressed with Douglas Grove surgery. GPs have always been friendly, nursing team always helpful, and I have always found the admin & reception team polite, and couldn't do more for me when I have called up.
I generally use the online system for most things which while clunky does actually allow me to realistically book appointments ahead of time, order medications and anything else I may need.

Waiting times for an appointment can be long though I put that down to this being such a good practice, shows how good it is when everyone wants an appointment!
Update: 1 year later I am so happy with the experience I have had with this surgery. I called at 8.30 this morning 8th in the queue - got through in 10 minutes. The receptionist was friendly and polite, asked appropriate questions. She got me booked in for a telephone appointment with the doctor an hour later who arranged diagnosis tests straight away.

My husband wasn't able to login to order repeat prescriptions on 27th February as the system hadn't been updated for him. Receptionist checked and assured him she would get the prescription signed by GOD sorry GP and it would be ready to collect by Thursday at the latest. On Saturday my husband went to the pharmacy but no prescription! He is an insulin dependent diabetic among other conditions Spent 6 hours on the phone to 111 and pharmacies to get emergency supply NIT GOOD ENOUGH Today 6th March prescription still not signed

While all GPs surgery's no longer give the service they once did this practice has sunk to a level of patient doctor relationship that leaves others in their dust. From telephone calls to ancillary medical services the principal ethic seems to be on no account must the patient be allowed any opportunity to avail themselves of them. And when it comes to getting an appointment with a GP unless you are breathing your last gasp forget it. Where and with who the responsibility lies for this situation I am not sure but I would guess that the front of house staff would be a great place to start. The attitude on the phone, if you should be at all successful to eventually get to the top of the call queuing in the brief periods when can make a call, is downright rude and dismissive and the practice of triaging problems by non medically trained receptionists is flying in the face of good practice. Everybody knows that there has been problems over covid but that issue is now receding and primary care should be returning to pre-covid levels

Professional and helpful when I have managed to secure an appointment. On hold majority of the time between 30 and 60 mins, however this is due to lack of staff and something the practice manager should address. The idea of only allowing to book appointments at 8:30am each day doesn't seem the most efficient way of scheduling the diary and creates a wave of phone traffic, particularly when the surgery closes the phone lines for 2 hours every day too but the strain on the service highlights the downfalls.

Been with this surgery for a couple of years now, registered my twins when they were born and they've had a few appointments for imms and their 6 week check. I have never had any issues with the receptionists or getting appointments when needed. All staff are super friendly, never sat waiting for ages as the Dr/nurse is always on time for any appointments I've had. I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews, genuinely one of the best doctors surgeries I have been to. I want to say a massive thank you to Nurse Pat and Nurse Jacquie, both absolutely amazing with my twins, very friendly and chatty to them and aueor quick with their imms.

I had setup a telephone appointment for 11:20 AM today. It is 12:47 pm and no signs of a call. This is the worst GP I have ever had to contend with. Doctors are slack, irresponsible and don't value time. The receptions are incompetent. People say it's free so that is how it is going to be. Are you f*^^g kidding me?? We pay a huge amount of tax to this government. Where does all that go. No it's not free. It's paid for. Get your service levels up before I write a letter to the MP.

I recently moved to the area and registered at the Douglas Grove Surgery which is just around the corner. I couldn't get an appointment last week and today i called and it took nearly 2 hours before anyone picked up and there was no appointments. I'm off work for 2 weeks but they have no appointments until after i return and the on the day appointments are a joke. Only one doctor on today and only two on a good day so it's just pot luck. I've now had to register elsewhere after having not been seen since registering. They take on new patients but they clear can't care for the one's that they have. The surgery from hell, go elsewhere
